Introduction
Get to Know Me
Welcome to Evans Performance Training, where our passion lies in helping athletes unleash their maximum potential in the realm of strength and conditioning. My name is James Evans, and I am proud to be the driving force behind this training venture.
With over a decade of experience as a dedicated strength and conditioning coach, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. I hold a Degree in Sports Coaching Science, equipping me with a strong foundation of knowledge, and I have further elevated my skills with a Masters in Applied Sport Science. In addition to my academic achievements, I am also a certified strength and conditioning coach accredited by the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA).
Where have I been
In my late teens as an amateur athlete, I reached a pivotal moment where I recognized the need for something more to enhance my performance. It was during this time that I stumbled upon the world of strength and conditioning (S&C). However, my initial foray into S&C was met with numerous missteps and misconceptions. It was during my university years that I realized my errors and embarked on a journey of learning and growth, ultimately deciding to pursue S&C as a career path.
Since that defining moment, I have been incredibly fortunate to work with athletes from all walks of life and across various sports for the past 12 years. My coaching journey has allowed me to support athletes at every level, from international competitors and professional sportspeople to dedicated local amateur players.
The breadth of my experience spans numerous sports, enabling me to adapt and apply my expertise in diverse athletic contexts. Whether it's preparing athletes for the international stage, helping professionals fine-tune their performance, or guiding enthusiastic amateurs towards their goals, I have had the privilege of being a part of their journey.

Central to my coaching philosophy is a focus on the individual, prioritizing their needs and goals without judgment or ego. I believe in empowering athletes by providing them with the knowledge and tools to optimize their own performance, allowing them to become the best versions of themselves.
